Thea Loo


Thea Loo is an emerging film and TV producer with a BFA in Film Production from SFU. Her latest short film “No More Parties” (Dir. Natalie Murao), created with funding support from the NFB, was selected to be part of Canada’s Not Short on Talent at Clermont-Ferrand 2021 cohort and screened at the TIFF Next Wave Film Festival. In 2020 her short documentary film “Nanay” won production funding from Art With Impact and will premiere at the Voices With Impact 2021 online festival in June. Last year she began a producing internship with BDB Productions Inc, an production company founded by 7 black actors and through BDB she is developing a feature film written by Lovell Adams-Gray and two TV show pilots. She is currently participating in the Reelworld Producer’s Program, a mentorship program focused on developing BIPOC producing talent in Canada.
