Michelle Morris is President and CEO of Lily Pictures Inc. With 30 years in the industry, she is a board member of the Canadian Media Producers Association – BC Council, a Trans-Atlantic Partners alumnus and a First Assistant Director member in the Directors Guild.
During her AD career, Michelle worked on films with Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Guillermo del Toro. She recently produced Marie Clements’ feature Red Snow winning numerous awards including Most Popular Canadian feature at the Vancouver International FF and Best Canadian Feature at the Edmonton International FF. The film toured internationally winning at the American Indian Movie Awards and LA Skins Fest before Vortex released the film theatrically. Elevation and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment released the film in the US. It was the first feature in CBC’s history to be aired in primetime in an Indigenous language. Michelle is in development with Anne Wheeler's next feature, two documentaries and a limited series based on her childhood in Iran. She is also in development creating a feature version of the MPPIA short film award-winner Good Girls Don’t (dir. Ana de Lara) which won 16 awards at over 30 festivals worldwide.
Michelle has guest lectured and taught production at New York University, University of British Columbia, and Emily Carr University. She holds a Master’s in Leadership and Negotiation, Film Producing, from Staffordshire University (UK).
