Marlene Rodgers loves to tell great stories. As a writer, story editor and producer she enjoys collaborating on projects ranging from feature films, to shorts, to factual and documentary television. Marlene has worked as a development executive and as a story editor on feature films for production companies across Canada. She has story edited and taught screenwriting for institutions like the Canadian Film Centre, Telefilm Canada, the NSI, Film Training Manitoba and the SFU School of Contemporary Arts. Television credits include the television series EXPECTING, KEEPING CANADA ALIVE, and GLUTTON FOR PUNISHMENT. In her own filmmaking, Marlene explores character-driven stories that blend drama and dark humour. Past short dramatic films include FOXY LADY, WILD CHERRY and CLEVELAND WOOD’S LAST DAY ON EARTH. Her documentary short, DREAMS OF THE DEAD, will be released in the spring of 2019.
