Jody Kramer

I graduated from UBC's theatre program in 1996. Since then, I have worked in adminisration at ACTSAFE (SHAPE), IATSE Local 891, and the NFB. I also completed a degree in Animation at Emily Carr in 2006, and since then have produced 5 short films, two of which were with the NFB. My 2010 film, "Don't Tell Santa You're Jewish!", went to competition at the Annecy International Animation Festival in 2011. I am currently associate producing a feature film and completing my own short film about rats, with a Canada Council Media Arts Award. I have sat on juries with the BC Arts Council, DOXA, the R2R Film Fest for Youth, and the BC student film festival. In the past five years, while raising two kids, I have programmed film screenings for the Reel2Real Festival, worked on my own film, taught animation at the ECU summer institute for teens, and animated work for projects by Ann Marie Fleming (Window Horses) and Jeff Chiba Stearns (Yellow Sticky Notes Canadian Anijam).
