Barb Briggs is a filmmaker and photographer based in Calgary. Her credits include Super Drycleaners (Director/Producer), Homes & Lifestyles Canada (Director/Producer - 26 episodes), The Prize (Director/Producer), Weeds in the Garden (Director/Producer), Hug-O-Gram (Producer), as well as music videos and commercial projects. She is currently working on a short documentary called Finding Normal, which follows the personal journey of Margo, as she recovers from a traumatic brain injury. After completing a BA in Political Science at the University of Calgary, Barb pursued a career in the non-profit sector, working primarily as a researcher and project manager. It was here that she developed her skills in crafting stories and narratives primarily through data. Craving a more creative outlet, Barb went back to school and completed a Visual Design program. For the past 10 years, she has been both capturing and directing moments and stories through photography and film. She resides in Calgary with her husband and two children.
