Carla Jones is the Studio Administrator for the National Film Board of Canada’s BC & Yukon Studio in Vancouver. In her role at the NFB, Carla’s focus is business and legal affairs, working closely with the producers on all original NFB productions and co-productions.
The BC & Yukon Studio works closely with writers, directors, artists and co-producers on unique and original documentaries and auteur animation. The studio’s goal is to produce innovative work that reflects the experience and inspiration of the region and its citizens.
Prior to joining the NFB in 2015, Carla worked for 20 years as a freelancer on unscripted television series, documentaries, and commercial productions in the US and Canada and has filmed in 17 countries.
Carla served on the Women in Film + Television board of directors from 2013 to 2019 and is also active in her community of New Westminster.
