Krista Magnusson


Krista has been studying acting for over 15 years in Vancouver and New York City. With over 40 film, TV, & theatre credits, Krista has received the Best Supporting Actor Award from Persistence of Vision Film Festival and Best Ensemble Award at BC Mainstage Competition. In 2012, Krista joined the Women in Film & TV Vancouver Board of Directors, serving as Treasurer & Vice President during 5 years on the board. Krista also created the ‘Actor Career Mentorship’ and has managed it through 7 successful rounds. Over 120 women have now gone through the inspiring program and credit it with changing their careers & lives. Krista also co-produced the John Patrick Shanley play “Where’s My Money?” in 2015 and will be seen in five TV shows in 2020, including Netflix’s The Baby-Sitters Club and The Order, with a recurring role on the upcoming show Away, with Hilary Swank and Josh Charles.

Outside of film & TV, Krista graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, specializing in Marketing. She has worked in marketing for 15 years, in both Canada & Mexico, climbing the ladder to Executive rapidly in both countries. Krista is known for helping companies in several industries grow rapidly, manage acquisitions, challenge industry norms, clarify their brand & vision, and develop community programs. Krista also been a mentor in the Women in Leadership Mentorship Program for multiple years and been a speaker at several events from Women in Business’ “Tech Day” to WIFTV’s International Film Festival, to Sage Software’s Partner Summit.
