Rachelle Chartrand has been involved in the film industry for over fifteen years, first as the creative producer of numerous short films, then as president of Women in Film and Television Vancouver and now as an award-winning screenwriter, producer and president of My Precious Pictures, Inc.

Since its launch in 2018, MPP has proven itself to be a production company to watch. It was one of only six Canadian companies to be chosen to participate in the Producers Lab at the 2018 Whistler Film Festival. MPP was also chosen to participate in the 2nd Cohort of the 2020 Spark Accelerator (Banff World Media Festival), Canada’s 2020 Trade Accelerator Program (World Trade Centre Vancouver) and Telefilm's Producers Without Borders (Coproduction Program at European Film Market 2021).

MPP’s first feature, the Telefilm, Harold Greenberg Fund and Creative BC-supported CHAINED, written/directed by Titus Heckel, stars Marlon Kazadi, Aleks Paunovic and Adrian Holmes. CHAINED received many accolades during development, including winning the Telefilm-sponsored 2018 JETS Program, an international competition held during Berlinale, for Canada. It also received early Canadian broadcast deals from Super Channel and Hollywood Suite.

CHAINED had its World Premiere at the 2020 Vancouver International Film Festival, and was awarded Best BC Film at the 2020 Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards as well as Canada's "One To Watch" for Titus Heckel. The film also received nominations for Best Canadian Screenplay, Best Canadian Actor (Kazadi), and two for Best Canadian Supporting Actor (Paunovic and Holmes). The film was also only one of nine feature films selected for the 2021 Canadian Film Fest. The film has received three 2021 Leo Award nominations for Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor and Best Casting (winners to be announced in July) and was a Best Film Finalist at the New York International Film Awards – April 2021 with Aleks Paunovic winning Best Actor, Marlon Kazadi winning Best Young Actor and Rachelle Chartrand winning Best Producer. With Vortex Media as its distributor, CHAINED is available across Canada on digital and on demand.

Other MPP projects include DOWNLOADED (2019), a VR narrative short directed by Ollie Rankin and starring Tiera Skovbye (NURSES, RIVERDALE), which had its world premiere at the 2019 Venice Film Festival, the first BC made project to ever be accepted, and was listed on Forbes' 2019 "Top 50 XR Experiences.”
