January 29, 2020, 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Location: Cineworks (300- 1131 Howe St; back alley entrance)
The Film and Media Showcase is a forum for members and guests of Cineworks, WIFTV and DOC BC. It provides filmmakers with an opportunity to share their work, across genres and in a variety of lengths, in a space dedicated to discovery, discussion and inspiration. Each event is framed by a question and answer session with creators, followed by informal conversation and networking.
TBA! Check back here soon for a full schedule.
Cineworks is currently solely accessible via back alley entrance located between Howe Street and Hornby Street. This event will take place in our studio on ground level, which is wheelchair accessible. A gender neutral washroom is available on the second floor and is not wheelchair accessible. Please email us at admin@cineworks.ca if you require any assistance.
There is limited free parking at our alley entrance - 4 car stalls available starting from our main entrance side. Additional metered street parking is available on Howe Street.
Cineworks pays respect to the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations on whose unceded traditional territories our organization and our work is based. We are committed to dialogue and collaboration with Indigenous artists and communities, amid ongoing social, cultural and environmental effects of colonialism and globalization, as part of our mandate to engage and support independent filmmakers, media artists and audiences through the transformative powers of the moving image.
