November 27, 2018, 8:15 - 9:30 AM

Talk shop over coffee with WIFTV members and friends. Whether you are a producer, directors, screenwriters, actors, or someone who wants to know more about the industry, the William F. White Networking Coffee is a great way to meet a variety of different people in the film and television community in Vancouver.

This month we will have Sarah Dodd, Showrunner for “Cardinal”, and Gemma Holdway, Story Editor for "Cardinal". They will be joining us to chat about how to run a writer’s room, ways to get started in the industry, the challenges of writing a procedural, and how and why Season Two of Cardinal had an all women’s writer’s room.

In addition to Season Two of "Cardinal", Sarah has written for the series “Ransom”, “Motive”, “Arctic Air” “Primeval; New World”, “Endgame”, “The Saddle Club”, “Zixx” and many others.

Gemma has written multiple films for television including “Stepchild”, “Are You My Daughter” and “I Didn’t Kill My Sister”. She was a Story Editor on “Ghost Wars” and her latest short film is “Dog Bite”.

Other members of the writer’s room will join if schedules permit. This session will be moderated by WIFTV Board Member Peggy Thompson.
