Cadence 88 min; 2016
Director: Alexander Lasheras (Cineworks)
Producers: Nicolas Ayerbe Barona and Arun Fryer (Cineworks)

When spending a romantic getaway with her pop-star boyfriend, Cadence experiences nightmare scenarios that will test her reality and self-identity. Cadence’s psyche is as fragmented as the film itself in this debut feature by local BC filmmaker Alexander Lasheras, which won the Audience Must-See-Award at VIFF 2016. Curtis Woloschuk says: “this is a thoroughly entertaining and remarkably tense rumination on memory, trauma, and the psyche’s efforts to protect itself.”
