Carla Jones is a member of WIFTV’s board and chair of the Professional Development Committee. With nineteen years of production and development experience on a variety of factual and scripted television productions in Canada and the US, she has worked with several networks and broadcasters including CBC, NBC, Global, Viacom, History Television, Animal Planet, and Discovery. Her most recent credits include Series Producer for Bad Trips Abroad, Seasons 1 and 2 for Travel + Escape; Production Consultant on the game show Spin Off for CHCH; and Re-creations Producer for Model Killers/My Evil Sister, a true crime series for A&E Biography.

Christina centers her practice on entertainment and media law, with an emphasis on film, television, digital media and graphic publishing. She advises producers and artists on matters including development agreements, talent contracts, production financing, licensing and distribution, co-productions and co-ventures, and errors and omissions reviews, as well as general corporate and commercial law. Practicing law is her second career, following a successful ten years spent developing, producing and servicing film and television productions in Vancouver.
Debbi-Jo is the proprietor of Debbi-Jo Matias Inc. which was founded in 2010 in Vancouver, BC. Debbi-Jo Matias Inc. provides audit and review engagements, tax returns, film tax credit preparation and filing, and acts as a liaison with CRA auditors and other regulatory organizations.
Before starting her own practice, Debbi-Jo developed her expertise through a career that began in Vancouver in 1991 and carried her to New York, Toronto and back to Vancouver working for international and regional accounting firms with clients in music, film and television and owner-managed businesses. Debbi-Jo was certified as a Chartered Accountant after obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba majoring in accounting and small business.
Business Analyst, Tax Credit Program at CREATIVE BC
Tim Mudd analyses applications to Film Incentive BC (FIBC) and the Production Services Tax Credit (PSTC), including production budgets, distribution and financing agreements and other documentation, in order to determine eligibility in accordance with the program legislation and regulations.
Tim has a decade of Film and Television production experience, primarily in the role of domestic financing and business affairs, as well as project managing and producing digital media strategies for primetime series. Prior to relocating to Canada in 2000, Tim spent nine years in a Business Development role for Standard Chartered Bank’s UK based business financing division.
