Annual General Meeting

Date:  June 16th, 6:15pm

Location: YWCA Metro Vancouver, 535 Hornby Street, Vancouver, BC Room Welch 1

All are welcome, voting is limited to Professional, Executive and Life time level members.  If you are going to be away, please vote by Proxy, allowing another WIFTV voting member to vote on your behalf. Complete the attached form and give it to your "Proxy" to bring with her to the AGM.

If you are interested in running for election to the Board of Directors, please contact the WIFTV office at 604-685-1152 or info@womeninfilm.ca.  Please note that directors of the board shall have been a voting member of the society in good standing for at least one year prior to her election.  An exception is made for members of the Executive level, who may run for and be elected to the Board at any time.  The composition of the Board must include at least 35% Executive Members.

Networking afterward at The Blackbird at 905 Dunsmuir, a half a block from the meeting location.  Cash bar.

6:45 pm    Guest Speaker with Q & A– Michele McMahon, Bell Media

Michele is the Development Manager for Independent Production for B.C. and the Territories.  She will provide an overview of all the ways you can get a show on TV or a film made with Bell. 
 
7:30 pm    Rachelle Chartrand:  Welcome / Call to Order

7:35 pm    Acceptance of Agenda
                Approval of Minutes of the 2013 AGM 

7:40 pm    Motion to set maximum number of Directors of the Board for the coming year to 18.
                President’s Report – summary of committee reports
                Volunteer Recognition

8:10 pm    Treasurer’s/Finanicial Report – please note that the board has approved the financials and we’re presenting for your edification only.

8:30 pm    BREAK

8:40pm     Board Elections
Continuing on with the board to complete their terms: Carleen Kyle, Sarah Kalil, Krista Magnusson, Laura Adkin, Katherine Brodsky, Amanda Burke, Jill Johnson, Carla Jones, Dusty Kelly, and Michele Billy Povil.

Nominations to the Board received so far are: Sharon McGowan, Frances Flanagan, Michelle Muldoon, Karen Wong, Lena Lees Heidt, Eillen Hoeter, and Arwen Hunter.
