Meet Ashley Good!
Ashley Good

Q&A with Ashley:

1. Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Ashley Good and I am an independent filmmaker. While I also occasionally work on larger productions, my focus is screenwriting and directing my own films. I am also the Director of the Foggy Isle Film Festival.

2. Is there anything specific you would like to share about your life or work with us at the moment?

My most recent short film, FATHER DAUGHTER DAY, was completed about 2 weeks prior to the pandemic and is now making its round in (online) festivals. I have been using this time to write several shorts in distanced collaboration with another local filmmaker, and have completed my first novel based on one of my screenplays.

3. Is there any quarantine activity that you would like to share in particular?

Staying busy both creatively and physically. Constant anxiety causes a huge mind and body disconnect, so I have been staying physically active as much as possible. Podcasts and books help me feel less isolated.

Q&A with Vesta:

1. Who are you and what do you do?

I’m a filmmaker and screenwriter in Kamloops, BC. I have been writing / directing / producing docs, shorts and a music video here in Kamloops and I’ve written one MOW that was produced for Lifetime.

2. Is there anything specific you would like to share about your life or work with us at the moment?

By working outside of the major centers like Vancouver and Toronto we’ve adapted to use what we have. The same crew has worked on the last few projects together and we will continue into the future because we work well together and are extremely flexible which I think will set us up better than many for the post COVID filmmaking world.

3. Is there any quarantine activity that you would like to share in particular?

Like everyone probably I’ve been writing a lot during the quarantine and I’m finding it very productive, but my team and I have been working hard to come up with our own protocols that will not only satisfy industry standards for safety but also our own standards as each of us has someone at home that is immune compromised in some way.

Q&A with Natasha:

1. Who are you and what do you do?

I am a Greek Writer-Director-Producer based in London and working internationally. I have opened London Production Studios (www.londonproductionstudios.com) in 2017 with the aim to solve the problem of access, in the film industry. Thus, I support new talent, work with them and realise their projects. I like stories that relate to global audiences.

2. Is there anything specific you would like to share about your life or work with us at the moment?

I'm pleased to announce that my action-thriller film "Killbird" which was shot in Canada last year, is being released on Prime Video, itunes and other VOD platforms.

3. Is there any quarantine activity that you would like to share in particular?

I am writing a comedy feature and the bible of my Sci-Fi TV series Star Quest.
