Topic:  Red Heartbreaker Interviews Fei Ren

Guest Speaker: Fei Ren

Born and raised in China, Fei Ren obtained her Psychology degree at UBC while working internationally as a model. Ren started her acting career in 2014 by training intensively in Vancouver and New York, and in a short time, has performed a diverse range of characters on TV, film, and stage. 
 
She can be seen in various leading roles in TV series and films such as The Romeo Section(CBC), This Blows (CBC) (Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Supporting performance), and movies such as Supergridand Fatal Visit. Most recently, she starred in Netflix’s feature film Polar opposite Katheryn Winnick, Vanessa Hudgens, and Mads Mikkelsen. In addition, she guest stared as an voice actress in Robot Chicken created by Seth Green. Ren made her stage debut as a leading woman in Duncan Macmillan’s Lungs, which reviews as top ten plays in Vancouver in 2019.
 
Ren’s directing credits include The Mirror Test at the Annex Orpheum Theatre as well as the dark feminist comedy Commencing.

Red Heartbreaker is a composer with over 32 film and television credits to her name, as well as vocalist and vocal coach.  She is also a director of the board for Women in film and Television Vancouver.
