INTERNATIONAL SCREENPLAY COMPETITION
Welcome to the Vancouver International Women in Film Festival Screenplay Competition for 2015. For the first time in the Festival’s history, the screenplay competition was opened to the international screenwriting community.
We were delighted to see entrants from countries including Turkey, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Switzerland, and of course Canada.
VIWIFF 2015 is committed to highlighting the best stories the world has to offer that are written by, and about, women. The festival is a forum for collaboration and networking with other screenwriters and filmmakers who contribute to the visibility of women through the ongoing practice of their craft.

The top three finalists as well as the Best Screenplay will be announced at the Closing Night Awards Ceremony.
Official Selections receive a festival pass and are invited to attend VIWIFF 2015 where they will have access to all screenings, and industry panels.
The Best Screenplay Award winner is given a cash prize.
