Women In Film and Television Vancouver is very appreciative of the cash and cash-equivalent support we received from our sponsors during 2009.  Sponsors bring our events and programs to life each year, and enable us to maintain an office and professional staff to support the many volunteers who make WIFTV projects happen.  

Since WIFTV cannot survive without the revenue from our sponsors, we would greatly appreciate your assistance this year.  In exchange for your support, you will have a variety of opportunities to reach a wide audience that includes students, industry representatives, filmmakers, women’s groups, and moviegoers throughout the province, while showing your commitment to the BC arts community.

In 2008, production spending in BC amounted to a total of $1.2 billion, plus ancillary revenues.  Sponsorship is an excellent opportunity for your organization to increase your access to this market.  Your contributions:

• support WIFTV in promoting the advancement of women in key creative positions: as producers, directors, writers, editors, and directors of photography
• assist in linking Canadian female filmmakers to audiences, distributors and broadcasters.
• stimulate dialogue and exchange between filmmakers and the public at large
• increase WIFTV’s presence and involvement in the film and television industry in Vancouver, Canada and International markets
• raise the profiles of Independent Canadian Media Artists and their works
• ensure fiscal sustainability amd the continuation of WIFTV’s valuable programs.
