Dave Moses is a Gemini Award nominated television writer. He has worked in theatre, film and television for over fifteen years. After graduating from the University of Prince Edward Island and attending the National Theatre School of Canada, he wrote and directed the award-winning docu-drama "The Kelly Murders" and created the hugely successful comedy revue "Annekenstein". In addition to writing for the television series "Heartland" and "Robson Arms" (for which he was also Creative Producer), he has most currently been working on the half-hour CTV comedy series "Hiccups". |

SCHEDULE
Part 1: Writing for TV (9:30am - 11:00am) Dave Moses will discuss the different journeys towards getting work as a writer on a Canadian television series and what to expect once you get the job.
Part 2: How to Write a Spec Script (11:15am - 12:45pm) Dave will share the nuts and bolts of what must be included in a Spec script and how to demonstrate your skill and talent as a writer under the seemingly strict confines of an existing show’s format.
Break for Lunch (12:45pm - 1:45pm) (lunch will not be provided)
Part 3: Workshop Session (1:45pm - 4:00pm) An opportunity to workshop your spec script or original series idea/synopsis/pitch and receive feedback from Dave and the other workshop participants.
