International Women's Day Events
2:00pm - 4:30pm ----> Screening of a feature documentary – Girl From God’s Country – followed by a panel discussion entitled "Current Initiatives to Address the Gender Imbalance in Media Production".
4:30pm - 6:00pm ----> Selections from the WIFTI Short Film Showcase
Curated by Women in Film and Television International, the Showcase presents a selection of short films from Women in Film Chapters around the world. Free Admission
7:00pm - 11:00pm ----> Opening Night - Screening of Café Derby followed by a Skype Q&A session with filmmaker and a party.
Wednesday March 9th
2:00pm - 3:00pm ----> Fire Side Chat with Rina Fraticelli
3:30pm - 5:30pm ----> Screening of Bearded Ladies - The Photography of Rosamond Norbury with Kanada Girl and Synesthesia followed by a Q&A session.
6:00pm - 8:00pm ----> Screening of Adrien (Le Garagiste) followed by a Q&A session.
8:30pm - 10:30pm ----> Screening of The Birdwatcher with The Vocation followed by a Q&A session.
Thursday March 10th

8:30pm - 10:30pm ----> Screening of FSM with Rock the Box followed by a Q&A session.

Friday March 11th

10:30am - 12:00pm ----> Story Money Impact: Funding Media for Social Change
1:00pm - 3:00pm ----> Pitching Sessions
1:00pm - 3:30pm ----> A Discussion on Sound with Kelly Cole
4:00pm - 6:00pm ----> Screening of 70% Dark, a collection of short films, followed by a Q&A session. The films include: Chaos Management, Grace, Shear the Sheep, Pequeňo, Chiral, The Cursed Days, Seiren, Summoned, and Bruised.
6:30pm - 8:30pm ----> Screening of Crushed followed by a Q&A session.
8:30pm - 9:15pm ----> A ‘Whodunit’ Reception to assist in the investigation of women in genre. This reception is free to those with a ticket to Crushed and End of Days Inc.
9:30pm - 11:30pm ----> Screening of End of Days, Inc. followed by a Q&A session.
Saturday March 12th

12:00pm - 3:00pm ----> Screening of Perspectives, a collection of short films, followed by a moderated discussion with Dorothy Woodend, DOXA's Director of Programming. The films include: The Fast, The Girl, Whose Shadow Reflects the Moon, Hands Up and Sáapreye: Children of the Bamboo Cane.
3:30pm - 5:30pm ----> Screening of Compelling Characters, a collection of short films, followed by a Q&A session, The films include: Madness, Semele, Heliopsis, Ransack (Saccage), The Chicken, Volta and Bihttoš.
6:00pm - 8:00pm ----> Screening of Kinderwald with Blood followed by a Q&A session.
8:30pm - 10:30pm ----> Screening of Brides.
Sunday March 13th
3:00pm - 6:00pm ----> Screening of When Giants Fall with Norma's Story and Sniff! The Art of Air Tasting.
When Giants Fall will be followed by a moderated discussion with special guests from the wildlife conservation and ecology worlds. The focus will be on how humans are working to preserve our natural spaces, and the importance of diversity in wildlife habitats around the world in keeping our planet healthy.
7:00pm - 11:00pm ----> Closing Night - Screening of the Matrix Award winning shorts - Presentation of the Matrix Awards.
Presentation of the Festival Awards followed by a party.
Prizes will also be presented to the top five winners of the From the Dark Side Genre Script Competition.
