Elyn Dobbs

Operations Manager

Elyn has spent many years working to support small businesses and social enterprises mainly in the arts, advocacy, and voluntary sectors.  Recently these have included a small construction firm, a dance company, Canadian Parents for French, BCCPAC, and the International Dyslexia Association. Prior to that, she worked and attended universities in France and Germany, and worked for larger organizations including the CBC (Beachcombers) and Expo ’86.  She is passionate about the role that non-profits and arts organizations play in our world, and she was honoured to be nominated for a 2008 YWCA Women of Distinction award in the Community Building category.

WIFTV's projects and activities are carried out mainly by volunteers, and a variety of contractors, all of whom contribute valuable skills and resources to our organization.  Their commitment brings our Women in Film Festival, workshops, and networking events to life and ensures that our small office can continue to support our many awards, mentorships, and screen-based media industry partnerships.  Thank you to all of you!
